You know, I keep trying to switch my domain to 1and1, but their main site keeps faltering. Perhaps, I should spend just a little more in case their services suck too.
Also, it turns out that most registrars are subsidizing the .ws domain, given that the tld issuer offers them from $35-25. The latter requires a 10 year lease. I seem to have made a terrible choice. But, as I knew then, there aren't many "nzen" tld`s left that aren't country domains.

Finished Paul McAuley's Fairyland. I don't really like it, which is why I put it aside the last three months. To be fair, it does provide a clear perspective on how the gene/nano singularity will look either incomprehensibly anarchic or need to be recast in old, fantastic forms. Here, meat robots are uplifted into evolving fairies and gnomes.

*Looking over the ergodox firmware files* Wait. Does this mean the keycode of '1' & 'shift' is always '!' ? No, hell no. I had planned to move all the numbers to one hand and punctuation to another. Ie, 1 & shift is 6. // Oh good, it appears that I change it in the key_functions/private.c . This may take some careful thought though.

Both 1and1 & name failed to act quickly enough to stave off the unsubsidized renewal rate from luckyshare. So I just set bought it. Whatever, now I have breathing room to let name do it or try yet another one. // So, the site should be visible after a little while since I reset the nameservers away from 1and1's garbage.

Watched first episode of season one of Game of Thrones. I love the cliffhanger. But, I had to look online at how all these fools are related. The experience reminds me of playing Mass Effect 1 and its firehose of 'culture'. I know the show can't compare to the book in expository opportunity, so I won't complain more than that.

Couldn't resolve problem with my father's computer and he didn't feel comfortable surrendering it to Best Buy. So, I installed fedora over the diseased OS. Tomorrow, I'll install adobe flash player and so on. Saved his pictures, but only later we realized that I erased his house budget (2014 Jan-Mar). Oh well.

Decided ubuntu was a better fit and that I didn't want to chance running Fedup three times.
Ah, Game of Thrones dvd showed the other episodes of the season but only has two on this disc. Sneaky.

Centurion arrived. I knew, intellectually, ahead of time that opening it would be difficult. I was only saved from more tedium by noticing that I could disable most of the barrel extension locks on the barrel extension.

Oh. You know who really likes the centurion? The cat. No one has played fetch with it in a long time. However, the darts seem to fly too fast for it to track.

The dust is bunched up in my sinuses. Luckily, I had time to deal with that this morning, but will need to get up earlier tomorrow.
Watching Catching Fire encourages me to read Mockingjay. But, I'm idly curious about A Game of Thrones and a coworker wants to gift me Catch 22 (to oblige me to read it). Of the three, Mockingjay is least urgent considering that part one of the film is in post-production.

Cosmos has invested in really good visuals. I happened to catch the 'galaxy' episode and marvelled at the Jupiter great red spot canyon. But, in waiting for commercials, I switched to the King of the Nerds finale. Another score for 'am I dead inside?'

Wondering if I should cut up some classical music for a boodler thingy. No time, unfortunately.

My illness? cleared up. yay. Finals all today.

God damn. This centurion just chewed up two of my darts. The head of one ripped off; the body stays in the plunger. Tried to finish cocking without noticing this. The next dart half loads and tears in half as the plunger tries to connect with the barrel.

The La Habra earthquakes passed through the house as I watched Seeking a Friend for the End of the World

Felt wretched from sleep deprivation, so I decided to skip the allgroups meeting after intergroup.

Sigh My father rejected LibreOffice & Ubuntu, feared installing a new windows 7 copy. So, he bought a new computer. He's paying the price by adapting to tablety Windows 8.

(Anachronistic post) Knocked the rear camera switch in truck with knee. I don't have a camera so the radio's screen is off. Two weeks from now, it is still garbage.
