I shouldn't have bought sony vegas with this christmas money. My need for it expired some months ago. Poo.

Fixing ApplPi start/stop bug. Done, tightened layout. Packaging for export, Done.

Categories in piecrust are rather high level. Elsewhere, I've used them like tags. So, I'll move everything to {event review report reflection} and put the old category as a note. Full site upload time :p
Um, eM client marked all my emails on the att webclient as read. Um no. Also, I'm afraid it plans to delete everything in two weeks. This may not work out.

Read an interesting post about the propriety of using machine learning to propagate compiler optimizations from intermediate lang back to front-end lang.

(I think this is the right day.) Read a Popular Science product barrage including the Nerf Centurion. Looking about inspired some covetousness and an idea for a modular ammo counter. Sensing the magazine is easy enough (hall effect). The trick involves a robust firing sensor that is cheap to apply to any/all your guns. Maybe on the plunger?

anachronistic date I wonder if I should put my twitter-tweets and fecebook-blurbs on this site too? Those I'd have to insert by hand. Ooh, the reasoning isn't "I want everything in one place." I prefer "I want it safe in case they die." May or may not publish them; but I should save them

Installing Sony Vegas. This popped out in the eula. (All-caps theirs)

Chosen for a thirty hour position yesterday. With the surplus, I may be able to fund my Roth IRA again. But, it means I can't visit the saturday morning meeting anymore, which is a concern. Ah, but CSS meets alternate Wednesdays.
So. File recovery. I see how a "demo" leading to a registration page is Informative. However, after five hours of scanning with no end in sight, the demand feels like blackmail. Perhaps stopping the scan after a couple tens of minutes sits at a better compromise point. It's a difficult niche. // Oh. I bet my external harddrive isn't polluted with temporary internet files and eclipse's poop.

This is a serious heat today. I couldn't even wear a jacket indoors comfortably. That's not a "woo California, suckers" sentiment, that's a "shit, here's another drought year".

Reminded today that I've been completely lacadistical, career-wise. Which I am grateful for.
Ooh, my tweeder archive dropped. Luckily this is more contentful than my facebook feed, which I polluted with zynga ads for several years. (These I restricted to my zynga friends, though.)

I don't really have the time for it but I spent some time making a canvas bar graph of how many posts of each blog are uploaded. I'm pretty pleased, though it is dead simple.
Also, it seems the safari browser on the old touch ipod doesn't render the ⊖ symbol, but shows the text for it instead. le sigh. // Oh. Piecrust is fouling the blog years on the left again. I may put direction links on the microbe pages on the top again.

It seems I should reread the blogs that I upload. The times I've scanned over archived while formatting them for Piecrust, I've noticed a less mature opinion about the role/rights homosexuals ought be accorded in our society. But, someone I've shown this site has honed right in on stuff I hadn't even remembered that I wrote at all. You know, because I wrote some of these posts ten years ago.
Luckyregister (my domain registrar) isn't letting me edit the DNS records because it is redirecting to nfs nameservers. So, I'm parking this domain to see if it will let me or that's just a "Premium DNS" feature. So here comes some DOWNTIME.

Man, this vaccine is starting to hurt. I think I'll make out a rain check on vacuuming today.

Vaccine pain ended, thankfully. I can now safely dumpster dive until next year :-P

What a wretched day.
It turns out that I needed to add the MX records to nfs rather than the registrar because nfs is handling all the dns for this site, not just html requests.

The ergodox finally arrived. I'm typing with it now. I'll definitely be changing its default layout. My fingers keep sliding all over. It doesn't help that these keys have no markings on them.

It turns out the nub keys on keyboards really help. My hands keep swimming out of position when I return from the mouse. I'll also have to change the default layout before I get too used to it.
