Ah. <nav> is better suited for the div on the left with the links than a couple at the end of blogs. Hmm. I guess it's time to upload every file again. le sigh.

Noticed a butterfly labs bitcoin miner on ebay. It seems the crush of 49ers, looking for effortless money, priced themselves out of the market. Just like the real 49ers.

Want to transition to a file encryption habit, but this seems so tedious. Choose an algorithm. Password. Do I have to remember the salt too?

Catching Fire trailer last night forced my hand. I guess I'll be reading that before it comes out or I'm exposed to a trailer that I can't skip. It's bad enough I know the first paragraph of Mockingbird already. McAuley's Fairyland moves to the backburner again.

Today someone at work suggested that Assad's approval of Sarin gas and Obama's approval of some abortion policy were moral equivalents. This person said that both were "killing babies." I was so floored I could only muster a mock reproach that she killed babies by not fertilizing all her eggs. I understand the gulf between our assumptions about the beginning of life. But here there's a difference in the comparison of death and suffering

Finishing Collin's Catching Fire. Why does she make Katniss so sinning neurotic? Yay drama, but this is excessive.

I forsee another round of purging possessions due to X. But Y, a more distant event, would have provoked it anyway. There's a little cruft at the edges, but achieving appreciable space recovery will hurt this time. I'll just have to intone 'how long since I used it? how long before I would have? how expensive to reaquire later?'

Last Dexter episode next week. As usual, "Lady or the Tiger" makes for an engaging cliffhanger.

Yay, finished the game Antichamber. Last puzzles and cinematic were pretty satisfying. And the developer behind the sceens rooms are, imo, a sorely needed bonus in more games & software. I suspect that dvd similar featurettes on dvds help sustain the movie industry's labor supply. They are thus ever present in the public consciousness.

Installed pycharm just now. Sigh Now I have to configure all its defaults to reduce the friction with my current habits. Strictly speaking, it's my fault for not adhering to the standard Py conventions (eg, I use tabs instead of spaces).

This past week I've mostly been playing Mass Effect 1, 41 hours so far. I didn't last night, though, to finish T Pratchett's Wyrd Sisters.
I see that I actually bought into the Planetary Annihiliation beta rather than just the full game. (Mostly for the soundtrack.) This is probably not the best time.
